Pixies impress Seattle’s Paramount Theater

The legendary band was in Seattle on Sunday night and devoted fans gathered at the Paramount Theater to see them perform. It was a night full of bright lights, loud music, jumping around, and singing along to some of our favorite tunes.

Lead singer Black Francis stood in the middle of the stage starting off with “Gouge Away,” “Wave of Mutilation,” and “Classic Masher.” Their setlist included an amazing 33 songs that stretched the show to over an impressive two hours. As the night unraveled and time went by it was easy to see what makes the band so unique and timeless.

The chemistry between Francis, guitarist Joey Santiago, bassist Paz Lenchantin, and drummer David Lovering, is intoxicating. When our favorites, “Where is my head?” “All the Saints,” “Ana,” and “River Euphrates,” filled the room with music notes a psychedelic ecstasy was created. Their cover of Neil Young’s “Winterlong,” was impeccable proving they can do just about anything. We’re thrilled we got to see them and to share this night with these legends.
