Kacey Johansing at The Tractor Tavern, May 25th

This Thursday May 25th, Tractor Tavern welcomes Los Angeles songwriter Kacey Johansing, who will be performing songs from her recently announced album, Year Away. Also performing is Mariee Siou who has been acclaimed for her folk-influenced songs reminiscent of Joanna Newsom, Bert Jansch, and Nick Drake. Tickets are available here.

Johansing released an early single from the album called “Daffodils” which features haunting piano and an arresting vocal performance from Johansing as she sings in memory of a lost friend. The album will be released on June 1st via Night Bloom records.

Year Away, was her recorded with her partner & co-producer Tim Ramsey (Vetiver, Fruit Bats) and engineered by Tyler Karmen (MGMT, Alvvays). Johansing has been acclaimed by Entertainment Weekly, Interview Magazine, Uncut, American Songwriter and Paste who calls her “…the definition of a star on the rise.”
