The Freakout Weekender is coming your way!
As we get ready for a fun packed spring in Seattle we’re particularly excited for The Freakout Weekender. The event hosted by Freakout Records and The Crocodile takes place on April 1st and 2nd, and will feature more than 40 artists around the world. The impressive lineup includes,
Antibalas, Austra, Lady Wray, Molly Burch, Armand Hammer, Efterklang, Surfbort, Tunde Olaniran, Public Memory, Acid Tongue, Smokey Brights, and Mint Field, along with so many more.
Rising hip-hop stars Armand Hammer and garage rockers The Bobby Lees will be making the trek out from New York City, along with afro-beat veterans Antibalas. There will be no shortage of noisy punk rock, as we are eager to present Surfbort, NIIS, Pink Fuzz, and Mexico/Seattle supergroup Mala Suerte. Tenacious D founder Kyle Gass will also be tearing up the stage with his band. As is usual with Freakout Fest, there will be a slate of acts from Latin America, including Atalhos, Isla de Caras, Películas Geniales, Moldes, Mint Field and Margaritas Podridas. Expect a mountain of soul from singer/songwriter Molly Burch, LA outfit Brainstory, crooner Joshy Soul, and local Seattle stars Shaina Shepherd, Monsterwatch, Beverly Crusher, Biblioteka, Oh Rose, all lit up by the lighting wizardry for The Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show.
