Nora En Pure Purifies Seattle
Nora En Pure has been on our radar for a long time now and it was so exciting to see her announce a show at Seattle’s Showbox SoDo. We made our way past the stadiums and noticed the long line to get into the venue for the sold-out show. This was going to be a night to remember.
The Swiss-South African DJ came to the stage with her table setup in the middle of the floor and with a video monitor behind her for the visuals throughout the night. Daniela Di Lillo played to a full house energized by her deep house music vibes. Nora En Pure draws a lot of her inspiration from nature and the outdoors and you can hear it and sense it in the music she creates. The visuals for the show seemed to showcase her enthusiasm and love perfectly matching the sound.
Di Lillo seems to outshine her counterparts in being able to bring that familiar sound of deep house and a fresh new beat along with it. Reviving the music into the next period while still honoring the past. All in her own way. With every song she elevated the sound creating the next round of dancing on the floor.
Early on she played dance classic, “Silence,” bringing that familiar tune back to the present and giving it light. Favorites were her own, “Life On Hold,” “In Your Eyes,” “Freyja,” with major highlights of Hayla‘s “Fall Again,” Aria’s “Argy & Omnya,” Swedish House Mafia‘s “Ray Of Solar,” Daniel Portman‘s “Resist the Time,” and new tune by Dominik Gehringer “Strange World.”
We’re so happy we had a chance to finally see her live, we wish we could catch more of these shows. If you like deep house, this is an artist you need to listen to and see live. She’s on a next level and it’s only getting higher.
