Fiji Blue at Neumos

The long-awaited Fiji Blue show finally arrived in Seattle, and it meant so much to Trevor, the band, and the dedicated fans who continue to support their music. The venue, Neumos, was warmed up by local vocal artist Juliet, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.

As an OG fan who started following Fiji Blue’s Instagram page back in LA when they had only 200 followers, seeing them now with 84.1k followers fills me with pride. Trevor truly deserves all the love, applause, and support he’s received. When I tried to predict the opening song, “I SHOULD’VE TOLD YOU,” kicked off the night with a burst of energy. The iconic bass, piano, guitar, and Trevor’s voice immediately took me back to the LA days, strolling along the coast.

I LOVED YOU, WHAT HAPPENED” followed with its captivating drum beats and soul-stirring lyrics: “If you told me I’d love you more when you left me.” It was a moment of raw emotion, enhanced by an amazing guitar solo before Trevor took a moment to formally greet the audience. The crowd was absolutely ecstatic when he played “PEPPERMINT” and “START OVER“—fan favorites that never fail to get people moving.

One of my all-time favorites, “DAY BY DAY,” came next. I can never get enough of Fiji Blue’s upbeat sound. The song opened with a dreamy, EDM-inspired intro, featuring rhythmic beats and clapping that perfectly captured the essence of modern love. “FLOWER IN THE DARK” followed, maintaining the brisk pace and keeping the energy high. Then, in a spontaneous and heartwarming moment, Trevor invited a fan on stage to improvise on “WAVES,” a song beloved by so many. The fan and Trevor’s impromptu performance left the crowd in awe—they were absolutely fantastic together!

The night closed with two highly anticipated songs: “BEAUTIFUL” and “IT TAKES TWO.” Both were performed with such tenderness and emotion, leaving everyone with a deep sense of connection and gratitude.

Fiji Blue, please keep making music and come back on tour again soon!
