Whether you’re a longtime local or a first-time visitor, CHBP offers a rare chance to dance in the streets, discover your next favorite artist, and feel the heartbeat of the iconic Capitol Hill. Grab your tickets and see you in the crowd!
Here are the 10 acts you won’t want to miss:
Porter Robinson
Currently in the midst of his SMILE! 😀 World Tour, Porter Robinson brings his emotionally charged, anime-inspired electronic sound to CHBP with a full band and immersive visuals. His third studio album, SMILE! :D, drops July 26, but fans will get a sneak peek during his set. Expect a performance that’s as heartfelt as it is cinematic.
Cool facts: Porter is a self-taught producer who began making music at age 12. He’s the founder of the Second Sky Festival and a vocal advocate for mental health in the music industry.
Thundercat
Grammy-winning bassist and cosmic funk wizard Stephen Lee Bruner aka Thundercat is teasing new material on tour, and CHBP is one of the few places to hear it live. Known for his virtuosic playing and collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, and Erykah Badu, Thundercat’s set will be a psychedelic journey through jazz, funk, and anime-fueled imagination.
Cool facts: He’s a huge anime fan (especially Dragon Ball Z), and his fashion sense is as bold as his basslines. His brother was the drummer for Suicidal Tendencies.
Slayyyter
Currently on tour with Kesha and armed with rhinestones, leather, and Y2K chaos, Slayyyter is bringing her hyperpop-meets-club-pop aesthetic to Capitol Hill. Her unapologetic lyrics and maximalist visuals make her a perfect fit for CHBP’s late-night energy.
Cool facts: She started by uploading tracks to SoundCloud and building a cult following on Twitter. Her debut album Troubled Paradise (2021) was praised for its maximalist production and campy visuals.
FCUKERS
The electronic duo is made of Shannon Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis and they’ve been creating buzz since their 2023 single, “Mothers.” After a viral Glastonbury set and the release of their debut Baggy$, FCUKERS are ready to unleash strobe lights, megaphones, and mosh pits on Seattle.
Cool facts: Their music is loud, irreverent, and designed to make you dance and laugh at the same time. Their CHBP debut follows a buzzy European tour and a new single, “Freaks in the Club.”
DJ Pee .Wee (Anderson .Paak)
Anderson .Paak’s vinyl-only alter ego, DJ Pee .Wee, is a masterclass in groove. Fresh off a Grammy win for WHY LAWD? with Knxwledge, his CHBP set promises a nostalgic, funky dance party—no laptops, just wax.
Cool facts: As DJ Pee .Wee, he only spins vinyl. Anderson .Paak is also a drummer, singer, rapper, and producer who’s collaborated with Dr. Dre, Bruno Mars, and Kendrick Lamar.
The Dare
NYC’s Harrison Patrick Smith, aka The Dare, brings punk-disco anthems and sweaty, chaotic energy to the stage. With the release of his debut record, What’s Wrong with New York? and a reputation for turning venues into dance riots, his CHBP set will be a downtown fever dream.
Cool facts: Before launching The Dare, Smith fronted the indie band Turtlenecked. He also produced “Guess” by Charli XCX which is a plus.
Dora Jar
Touring soon with HAIM and fresh off the release of her dreamy single “The Explorer,” Dora Jar’s theatrical alt-pop is tailor-made for a golden-hour set. Her background in theater and poetic lyricism create a surreal, immersive experience.
Cool facts: Dora studied theater before turning to music, which explains her dramatic stage presence. Her songs often explore surreal, dreamlike themes.
100 gecs
The hyperpop pioneers are back for select U.S. dates and CHBP is a lucky stop. Expect a rare, high-voltage performance from the duo that redefined chaos in pop music.
Cool facts: Dylan Brady and Laura Les exploded onto the scene with their 2019 debut 1000 gecs, fusing punk, EDM, ska, and pop into a genre-defying sound.
Yaeji
The Korean American producer, DJ, and vocalist whose music blends house, hip-hop, and introspective lyrics—often switching between English and Korean. She’s known for her minimalist beats and emotionally resonant songwriting. Her debut With A Hammer blends house, hip-hop, and introspective storytelling.
Cool facts: Yaeji studied conceptual art in college and brings that same thoughtful creativity to her music and visuals. She’s also a fashion collaborator and visual artist.
MYXA
Seattle’s own MYXA steps onto their biggest stage yet with ambient, bilingual electronica that’s both haunting and hypnotic. Their upcoming EP Soft Armor promises new material, and their live show—fog machines, layered synths, and all—is not to be missed.
Cool facts: They gained attention through NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest and have built a loyal following through intimate DIY shows and livestreams.
Bonus Picks:
- Sam Austins: Detroit’s genre-blending alt-pop provocateur brings punk energy and futuristic visuals.
- Taylar Elizza Beth: A CHBP regular and local favorite, Taylar’s poetic hip-hop is both intimate and powerful.
- Jordan Ward: With smooth vocals and dancer’s charisma, Ward’s R&B-funk fusion is pure groove.
