L.A. Witch haunt the Tractor Tavern

Suicide Squeeze have been my favorite label for a long time, I love all their artists, and I was so excited when I saw that L.A. Witch were playing Seattle at the Tractor Tavern. Despite it being a weeknight in a busy working week I knew I could not miss it.

I had been listening to their new album, DOGGOD for a while so I was excited to hear them live. The venue was full and sold out quickly.

I would describe the album as a mix of post punk, psychedelic with a hint of new wave. Sade Sanchez the lead singer did an amazing job, her voice is so haunting and the crowd could not get enough. What’s so cool about L.A. Witch is they have an old school rock appeal but seem to manage to balance that with post punk which means they appeal to all ages. The gig exceeded my expectations and I am already looking forward to seeing them again.

Notable Tracks: Fire Starter, 777, The Lines, Baby in Blue Jeans, I Wanna Lose.
