Show Me the Body rage with CORPUS Grows Tour

The Showbox Market was buzzing with an incredible lineup of hardcore punk bands playing the historic venue. Show Me the Body and High Vis were in Seattle bringing along more great bands to open the show. Their collective, CORPUS, has been formed since their debut and the themes touch on social issues and injustice. The Corpus Grows Tour was even more exciting tonight with the addition of King Yosef, joining a roster of heavy-hitters Special Interest, BIB, and Bearcat. Each band brought their best, drawing in a dedicated Seattle crowd. By the time the final acts were up, we were already amped from the opening performances.

High Vis hit the stage with explosive energy, diving into their set with purpose. The English band formed in London in 2016, were supporting their third record, Guided Tour. Frontman Graham Sayle connected with the audience, pouring his thoughts into the mic, which they gracefully accepted with enthusiasm.

Show Me the Body formed in New York City in 2009, the band currently consisting of lead vocalist and banjoist Julian Cashwan Pratt, bassist Harlan Steed, and drummer Jack McDermott. They’ve recently released Corpus II EP I and EP II. The energy was palpable when Pratt kicked off their set with “It Burns,” one of their latest singles. The crowd kept throwing their fists in the air singing back the lyrics as they themselves had written them.

As the trio played on through their set people kept getting more and more invested in the mood of the room. The show hit another level when Alli Logout from Special Interest joined the band onstage to perform their track “Peace Corps.” Later we also got to see Graham Sayle take the floor to perform their collab “Stomach,” sending the crowd into a frenzy. This tour was so amazing to catch and we’re definitely not missing these bands when they come back through town. If they are near you make sure you catch them play.
