Holly Miranda at Anderson School July 14

We get a special treat this week as Holly Miranda is coming through town on Thursday playing Anderson School in Bothell.  Her new EP Party Trick is out now which is composed of cover tracks and her Drake and Bon Iver covers are wonderful.  The title comes from Tegan Quin (of Tegan & Sara), saying that she could take any song and make it sad, it was her “Party Trick”.

The EP was released a year after Miranda released her sophomore self-titled album that brought tracks like “Everlasting” and “Desert Call” into the world.  She has a natural talent of bringing wonderful songs to life but also a great talent in making song covers sound like she wrote them herself.  Can’t wait for this one!
