Time to grab your umbrella and head down to the Seattle Center to enjoy some good music at this year’s Bumbershoot Festival. The Australian rock band is coming back to Seattle after a great performance at the Market earlier this year. Their latest album Inanimate Objects is a step up from their debut in 2013 and “Molecules” is a song you should hear. The Jeffery brothers along with the rest of their band and maybe some “Trojans” will take the Fisher Green Stage at 3:40 on Friday.
The pop enthusiasts Peter Richards, Claire England and Andrew Hall changed their dynamic in 2014 and the three of them have produced fresh tunes. We saw Manser at the Capitol Hill Block Party this summer and were completely taken away by her talent and her power to engage the crowd. She moved to town a few years ago but has been slowly rising to one of the best acts from the Northwest. We’re all waiting for her debut EP “Second Skin” to be released later in the year. Words are hard to describe all that Bird brings to the stage. He has released 12 albums and has played numerous shows worldwide. We saw him this year in April and it still holds a special place in our live performance bank. Also maybe we’re obsessed with his violin skills among everything else. The dream pop creation of Meagan Grandall only gets better with time it seems. Every time I’ve had the opportunity to see her live I’m completely taken and left wanting more.
