Sasquatch! Festival Must See Sets

Can’t believe it’s already time to pack our bags, dust off our camping gear and make our way to one of the best outside venues in the world for the long weekend. Sasquatch! is among us and the festival is celebrating the 15th year it’s been going on. We had to mentally get ready for all the scheduling conflicts and where we should be, along with planning meeting spots to meet all our friends.

We are here to provide some guidance (if any is needed), on what bands you should check out this weekend. The obvious will not be listed as most of you are already planning on going to The Cure, Florence, Grimes, Sufjan Stevens, M83, Chet Faker, Tycho, Purity Ring, SAVAGES, Oh Wonder, Vince Staples, BORNS, Saint Motel, Marian Hill, Wolf Alice, Digable Planets, Rudimental, and A$AP Rocky.

Below are some of our picks that could become your new favorites after seeing them live.

Thunderpussy

The band that has taken Seattle by storm with a solid following and much hype around their live sets. You don’t want to miss this rock n’ roll show they will be putting on Monday at 1p on the main stage.

Deep Sea Diver

Do yourselves a favor and check them out if you haven’t done so in the last few months. Their latest album Secrets is one of our favorites so far this year. Filled with catchy hooks and Jessica Dobson’s rad voice, they are a must.

Tacocat

Did someone say Tacocat? Yes, another Seattle band will be on our list this weekend bringing their punk-pop through the beautiful backdrop. Is it a cat that looks like a taco, or a cat dressed like a taco?

La Luz

New album Weirdo Shrine is due out in August from this Seattle band now based in LA, serenading us all with their fresh surf noir sound.

Hibou

Big surprise another local artist on our list. Well we are in the northwest so we need to support our awesome bands. Most of his self-titled debut was written in his parent’s house with much inspiration from 80s pop infused with his own unique style.

SOAK

The 18 year old Bridie Monds-Watson has been getting much deserved praise from the industry. Her soothing vocals and soft sound bring us back to the best memories of our past, the ones we want to remember. Check out this young star who was the first to be signed to CHVRCHES label.

WET

This pop trio will make every emotion in you come alive through their music. Their album Don’t You has brought them recognition in all the cool circles in the biz. I know a lot of you wanted to catch them when they came through Seattle last time but their show sold out faster than hot cakes on a Saturday night.
