Bumbershoot Music Festival Preview 2024
After a successful comeback last year for their 50th anniversary, Seattle’s favorite music and arts festival returns to Seattle Center this weekend. Bumbershoot will always hold a special place in our heart since it’s located in the center of downtown where we don’t have to go very far or camp. The carefully curated two-day festival lineup this year bring something for all ages to enjoy over the long weekend. It’s looking like it’s going to be a hot one so get your sunscreen and water bottles ready to head over to Seattle Center.
From the music aspect, there’s a lot of older favorites mixed in with newer options that we appreciated in the new iteration of the festival, which kicked off last year again in its new two-day form. We’re happy to see the names of Kim Gordon, Cypress Hill, Carl Cox, and Pavement on the lineup who have undoubtedly shaped the music industry in their perspective genres. The variety of the lineup is sure to bring a good mix of folks all finding something to like while enjoying music and sun in one place.
Make sure you don’t miss Courtney Barnett, Lauren Mayberry (of CHVRCHES), K.Flay, Aly & AJ, Freddie Gibbs, Automatic, Ladytron, Kurt Vile & the Violators, All Them Witches, Spoon Benders, Pure Bathing Culture, Cunningham/Bird, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Moor Mother, King Buffalo, Angelica Garcia, Balthvs, Squirrel Flower, and Psymon Spine.
Local favorites on the bill include, Chastity Belt, Acid Tongue, Tres Leches, Emi Pop, Linda from Work, Parisalexa, Oh, Rose, Warren Dunes, Lemon Boy and Grynch.
